·   Created daily lesson plans for the units Scientific Revolution, Enlightenment, Political Revolutions, Industrial Revolution and Imperialism.  Activities included warm-ups/hooks, exit tickets, graphic organizers, processing strategies (visual and literary analysis, storyboard, etc.), Think Pair Share, and other similar teaching strategies.

·   Taught information skills to 1,500 KG-5th students using classroom content related topics.
·   Involved in yearly accreditation from first draft through accreditation and reaffirmation for three associations including the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Council of International Schools and the UAE Knowledge and Human Development Authority.
·   One of two Atlas Rubicon Trainers for Grades Pre-K-12. Developed library curriculum for grades KG1-5th and mapped the data into Atlas Rubicon.
·   Worked closely with teachers to create a collection to meet curricular needs.
·   Developed and implemented the first Summer Reading Program for DAA.
·   Initiated the participation of DAA in the Emirates Airline International Festival of Literature (EAIFL). I was able to bring Jeffrey Deaver, Terry Brooks and Tony Buzan to DAA for author visits and to arrange for Speech, Theatre, Music, and Art classes to present events at EAIFL.
·   Member of various committees, including the Social Club and Literacy Initiative Committee. 
·   Worked with PTA to add library furniture to create an efficient and pleasing atmosphere.

·   Administered and responsible for library operations including supervising six staff, reference, collection management, circulation, textbooks and periodicals. 
·   Under my leadership, the materials budget increased 300%, circulation increased 70%, staff increased from 3 to 6, and online databases increased from 2 to 10. 
·   Involved in SACS accreditation for both reaffirmation and independent accreditation. 
·   Suggested, planned and implemented the first AUD Staff Christmas Party which became an annual event.  Coordinated with the U.S. Secret Service for a safe and organized visit by former President Clinton for a book signing in the library.
